Non-Traditional Studio Engagement Session
When Frank and Caroline reached out about their engagement session, they wanted something bold, playful, and uniquely “them.” As a fun and creative couple, they opted for a non-traditional session in my photography studio, where we could let their personalities and artistic flair shine.
The studio was the perfect backdrop to bring their vision to life. We incorporated an eclectic mix of props, from disco balls to their favorite records, and even custom lampshades they designed as part of their wedding decor. New York City touches like subway maps added a layer of personal storytelling, tying their love story to the city they call home.
Frank and Caroline brought three outfits to the session, each one reflecting a different vibe. The wardrobe changes added variety and energy, helping us create a gallery of images that ranged from vibrant and quirky to romantic and intimate. And, of course, what’s an engagement session without Champagne? We popped a bottle to celebrate, capturing candid, joyful moments as they toasted to their future together.
Studio engagement sessions are a fantastic way to break away from tradition and fully embrace your personality as a couple. Whether you’re bringing props that tell your story or creating an entirely new vision together, the possibilities are endless.
